FAQ

  • Do I need to have a specific goal to start coaching?
Not at all. Some clients come in with a clear goal, while others just know they want something to shift in their lives. Part of our work together can involve identifying what matters to you and where to start. Clarity often comes through conversation, not before it.
  • Is coaching confidential?
Yes. Everything you share in our sessions stays between us, with the exception of situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. I take your privacy seriously and aim to create a space where you can be fully yourself without fear of judgment.
  • Is mental health coaching for me?
Coaching is commonly defined as a process to help improve a person's performance. It is a collaborative process that helps a person change in the way they wish to change. Coaching builds awareness, empowers choice, and leads to change. Coaching will help you better understand how your mind works, so you can build the life you want. This program is not meant to diagnose mental illness, prescribe medication, or be used for urgent health crises. Coaching is not therapy nor a substitute for therapy, and Axel is not a licensed medical professional.
  • Are there in-person coaching sessions?
As of this moment, all coaching sessions are carried out virtually through Discord or through Zoom. If a client wishes to have video calls through a different service that could be arranged.
  • How is coaching different from therapy?
Therapy often centers on diagnosing and treating mental illness. Coaching, by contrast, focuses on building skills, setting goals, and navigating challenges through a strengths-based approach. Both can be deeply transformative, but coaching is not a substitute for therapy and is not intended to treat clinical conditions.
  • What can I expect from working with you?
You can expect a supportive space centered on your goals, challenges, and personal growth. Whether you are looking to build healthier habits, increase self awareness, or navigate a major life transition, I will guide the process in a way that is structured but flexible. Coaching is a collaborative relationship. It is not about fixing you, but helping you access the tools and insight you already carry.
  • How does billing work?
Coaching services are offered in packages of 4 sessions with a monthly payment plan. You pay for 4 sessions per month, adding 4 session credits to your account with each payment. Sessions are deducted as attended, and missed sessions count as a used credit. However, cancellations made with 24+ hour notice or cancellations initiated by your Axel do not count as used sessions.
  • How long should I attend mental health coaching?
Most of my clients see the best results after 8 sessions. You can always extend your coaching package beyond 8 weeks if you want to continue making progress, or cancel your package early if you accomplish your goal in less time.
  • How often should we meet?
Weekly sessions are ideal. Meeting once a week allows us to build momentum, stay focused, and create consistent progress toward your goals. While I can offer biweekly sessions if needed, I do not recommend spreading sessions out any further. Long gaps between meetings can slow down the work and make it harder to stay on track. Consistency is the key behind the design of my mental health coaching.
